I’ve spent more than a fifteen years writing, editing and commissioning pieces about the health and beauty industry, so I know what makes a good story. In that time, I’ve also seen journalists and consumers become increasingly savvy, especially when it comes to ingredients and results.


My knowledge and experience in this area means I’m frequently asked to take on consultancy projects for companies and brands. Some might be PR agencies looking for an insight into how newspapers and magazines work, and how to pitch a story that will catch an editor’s attention. Others range from beauty start-ups to global businesses who want to talk about positioning new launches, to know how their products sit within a wider context, or to see if the claims they’re making can be substantiated.
