About me

I’m a freelance features journalist who writes about almost everything, from pseudoscience to celebrities, and pretty much anything in between.

I’ve written for Grazia, Elle, Financial Times, Sunday Times Style, ES Magazine, Stylist, Director, and many more, but you'll see my most recent work in the Daily Mail, the Daily Telegraph, Metro and Women's Health.

One of the topics I love writing about is the science side of beauty and I’m really proud to have won several

awards over the past few years for pieces that I’ve written on this subject.

My knowledge and expertise in this area means I’m frequently called upon by international brands who are looking for a consultant to advise on product development, brand strategy and market positioning - you can find out more about my consultancy work here

If I’m not writing or talking beauty geekery, I’m probably eating as, as well as covering food for Metro, I’m a former local editor for the restaurant guide, Zagat, and a contributor to Google Dining, ensuring that the city's newest and best restaurants are recognised by the search engine.

While, if I'm not skiing, I’m happiest working from my home office in South London, I also take on occasional editing shifts and can even be coerced into giving my opinion on TV or radio.
